As a Senior Podiatrist, Yuya has a broad skill set refined locally within a multi-site clinic. His interest in Sports Podiatry, sports-related injuries and rehabilitation are reinforced by his Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Sydney and Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle.
He had many years of extensive training and experience in orthotic prescription and manufacturing at an Orthotic company based in Tokyo, Japan. This unique background has provided knowledge to perform in-depth biomechanical and gait examinations to treat a broad spectrum of common foot disorders and lower limb complications.
Yuya is one of the few Japanese-Australian podiatrists in Australia and, speaks both English and Japanese fluently. He prides himself on having an exceptionally light touch during his meticulous treatments providing minimal discomfort during procedures. He practices exclusively at Ys Podiatry in Neutral Bay, Monday to Saturday.
